Original Adobe software products have some common characteristics which can help distinguish them from pirated copies. |
| |
| |
Pirated copies will usually lack proper documentation, have inadequate packaging, have handwritten or no labels on discs, poor quality graphics and printing on discs and no Adobe copyright notice. |

Ensure your software has both SID code and IFPI number in the inner non-print area of your CD and that the CD is silver-pressed and not burned. The security sticker label on the jewel case must be plastic not paper and should reflect the SKU number. Starting with the Creative Suite 5 (CS5), all products will have a regionalized English SKU. |
| |
| |
Adobe serial numbers consist of six groups of four digits and are unique for each product. Qualified Adobe Partners will never send the Serial Number noted on the invoice or printed on the CD, sleeve or jewel case. |
| |
| |
The price of the software also gives a good indication of its authenticity as pirated copies are usually far below the normal retail price. |
