Tortue génial est un projet live fusionnant musique et arts plastiques.
Né à Maurice, de l’influence de la culture mauricienne sur un enfant du rock, Tortue génial devient après quelques mois de recherches, une rencontre entre une plasticienne, Emilie Carosin et un musicien, Geordie Piseri Diaz.
A l'origine du projet, Geordie Piseri Diaz est un musicien autodidacte aux influences diverses mélangeant post rock et math rock.
L’autre membre du projet est Emilie Carosin, artiste mauricienne alliant peinture, installation et chant, qui dresse le portrait d'une musique métissée. |

Xbreed has seen light in 2004...but it’s got a very long story...really too long. Five members, two electric guitars, one accoustic, bass, drums...and melodies. Xbreed does not pretend to do anything revolutionary..just melodies and feelings..might they be anger, joy...and sometimes...love. The goal is to make people’s body (not only their ears) react...gooseflesh, high blood pressure...That’s a hard quest.. After their first album (a live one), they finally released, "Letter to G", their second opus, in December 2007.hoping to make the world discover their melodies and lyrics (inspired by Radiohead, Jeff Buckley, Placebo,U2...queens of the stone age etc.)and also, their island, Mauritius. |

Born on the 15 February 1984,David has been on the decks for seven years now, grown in a musician family whereby music was the link. David has a curious nature and because of his curiosity David understood the basic techniques of mixing and from a short dj course he has never stopped performing. As freelance dj David played in various clubs and private parties across the island. David’s production work consist mainly progressive house with progressive beats, hypnotic effects, vintage sounds combine with Middle East vocals. |

Dj since 1986. He was resident DJ in most popular Night-club in the island, then he start to be guest Dj for clubs and parties until now. It's now 21 years that he is working in electronic music.
He represent Mauritius in Paris In Bataclan during a Francophone music festival, was working in Radion during 17 years, created a DJ school in 1994 ‘’Metropolis’’ where most of famous DJ were trained.
Pascal Pierre start to produce in 1999, and launch a first album in 2004 ‘’La Tribu Sagapataal’’. In 2007, he launced the second one through Internet : “One Day One night in Mauritius”. His favorite instrument is : Reason! |

Born in 1987, Jeannot Thomas AkA Dj Phoenix, started playing in Hotel discotheques at the age of 14 years old. Dj Phoenix started playing at night Clubs in 2004, starting off at Dauphins Bleus, which increased his skills, allowing him to play at a more popular night club, Arena, Zanzibar and took part in the "2006 In 2007" manifestation. He received advice from Nick Bridges (Bodyrox), a resident dj of ministry of sound. Xtrem Biz being his first production project, in 2006 (created on Rebirth-338). He played as a guess dj at La Gallery, AG22 and also animated big parties on L'ile aux Benitier. In December 2007, Note to mention that DJ Phoenix is now an in-house DJ for Premiere Events London, a famous events organization Into London! The "Young Dj" started producing on Fl Studio since 2007 and will release very soon his first single! |

Il se fait appeler Abstract et évolue dans l’univers de la house music. Lui, c’est Martin Magembe, jeune chanteur né à Dar es-Salaam en Tanzanie, d’une mère mauricienne et d’un père tanzanien. Après deux albums, Trance Flavour et Après Minut, Abstract revient avec un nouvel opus, Over Musicoholism. Pour cette nouvelle aventure musicale, il s’est associé à une voix féminine mauricienne en la personne de Laura Pottier (Cristaline). Sa passion pour la musique a commencé au cours de ses années passées dans une université sud-africaine. C’est là-bas qu’il a fait ses premières armes dans l’univers de la musique en tant que dj. C’est ’à Johannesburg qu’il a fait la connaissance de Kowz’bac – un célèbre producteur sud-africain qui lui a appris beaucoup de choses en terme de musique. De retour à maurice, il continué d’explorer l’univers de la musique. |

David Jays passion lies within the realms of House Music; enticing and capturing crowds with his skills and sounds ranging from Deep House to Progressive House, with a raw and definite feel of Funky House and Electro House.
David Jay first took to the decks in 1996 and his first live public appearance was in 1997 for the Metropolis DJ night at a nightclub called the Sphinx. This would be the start of a successful career for David Jay. A career which would take him around the globe doing what he most enjoys in life; making us form part of one of his stories, making us relive and experience intense journeys that take us through life.
David Jay is one of the most requested DJ’s on his paradise island of Mauritius. He has organized several parties, some of which being International Gigs such as the first Ministry Of Sound Party in the Indian Ocean.

Live Spirit

Live Spirit is a new group of Mauritian DJs recently founded in the beginning of 2008. It is actually a duo including DJ Live (also known as Live Styler) - DJ/Remixer/Producer - and DJ Val - DJ/Percussionist. Always trying to find the inspiration to create new original vibrations, Live Spirit’s musical genre can be defined as an experimental fusion of electronica and Mauritian origin sounds. Live Spirit uses new techniques in its music production using the latest powerful DJing and audio production computer software like ‘Ableton Live’ and ‘Adobe Audition’. The productions are almost based on digital electronic sounds consisting of wav/aif samples and virtual midi instruments, except for percussion which is produced by real instruments. For live performance, the DJing platform frequently used by Live Spirit is the ‘Atomix Virtual DJ’. But for the moment, the group is still in the dark performing at private parties only and searching for new routes to show and share its music and skills. |

Zak Shaker

Born in Paris in 1970, started out in 1988 spinning Hiphop in the suburbs. at that time, mixing records like BDP, Public Enemy, Digital underground, Loose ends...
4 years later, Zak then switched to the deep house flow, keeping all the groove in his sets, his main influences being Masters at work, Kerry Chandler, Kevin Yost…
Arriving in Mauritius in 1998 and bringing a groovy deep house sound with him, he became the main deep house DJ of the local scene, influenced in his set by his favourite producer “Miguel Migs” and preferred label “Large”. Zak slowly enlarged his set to deep fluid Tech house like “Plastic city”, “alola” and “20/20 vision” Labels. |
